    Another hydraulic issue

Tractor is a 3340 and this just started a couple days ago when I was raking hay. I use one hydraulic line to raise / lower the rake. After a about two hours of raking, I started to smell oil every time lowered the rake. (I allow the rake to 'float' down.) I can't find any leaks and the bottom...

    3340 Front Axle problem?

I just noticed the right front wheel on my 3340 is leaning! I'd guess the top of the tire is tilted out 2 cm and the bottom is tilted in 2cm. (The left wheel is straight up and down.) The wheel doesn't wobble and seems to function ok. I don't know how long this condition has existed. Any...

solved A couple of suggestions - or maybe I just need help

Hi, I'd like to be able to search posts by member. That guy Marrku (or is it Markku) has a lot of experience and I'd like to view his posts. Also, is there a way to post pictures? I'd like to be able to do that. Thanks, Doug

    Clutch question

My 3340 started something strange yesterday and I wonder if it means I'll have a problem soon. Just about every time I engage the clutch, the friction point changes. Some times the clutch engages close to the floor and some times it engages in the 'normal' position, which is almost all the way...

    My hydraulic clutch

Yesterday while plowing snow, the clutch on my 3340 decided it wouldn't disengage. The pedal went right to the floor but the tractor kept going forward. Yikes! Come to find out, there was no brake fluid in the hydraulic system. It all drained out somewhere, but I couldn't find any wet spots...

    My 3340 clutch

Just as I started baling hay yesterday, the clutch on my 3340 wouldn't disengage. There was fluid dripping from the clutch pedal so I'm guessing the clutch master cylinder is going bad. I added brake fluid to the reservoir, everything seemed ok so I continued haying. So far, it's continued to...

    3340 oil filter

Hi guys, It's getting to be time to change the oil and filter on my 3340 and I'm wondering if I need to go with a Zetor brand screw-on oil filter? Or can I use a Fram or Motorcraft or Wix or some other off the shelf filter? They are much easier to obtain than a Zetor! :) thanks, Doug

    More HP for 3340?

Hello, I think I remember someone posting how to get more HP out of a 3340. If I remember right, it was by re-timing (or adjusting) the fuel injection? If you know how I can gain some HP, I'd appreciate finding out how. I need a few more horses to run one of my implements. Thanks, Doug

    Hay Rake types

I would like to hear your thoughts on all the different types of hay rakes. I have about 15 acres of hay which I'm going to start haying myself (my contractor gets later and later each year), and there are so many different kinds of hay rakes my head is spinning! Are there advantages of one...

    3340 fair price?

Hi, I'm looking at a Zetor 3340 with cab and quick attach bucket. It has about 550 hours and seems to be in great shape. The seat still has plastic on it! I've driven it around the yard and everything seems to work even though it doesn't have the passenger car 'feel' of the new New Holland I...
