Machinery:
Zetor 6545
Trying to use the airhose to refill the tires for the first time, and cannot find the air outlet on compressor. Is there a modificatin on this tracktor, since it bacically is a 5245 with a factory installed turbo. There is a rubber hose going out in front of the compressor where I think the outlet should be, going down to a sort of filter bowl close to the engine oil dipstick.

Hello and welcome Klas!

please simply post a picture of the right engine side so we can better help you with your question.
Normaly the air outlet is in front of the air pressure valve reght side of engine betwen diesel filters and battery box.

Zetor never sells a Zetor 5245 or 6245 out of factory with a turbo. The only one in UR1 series was the "5243 Tubro" as a vinegard tratcor model with a 3 cyl. engine and the 7745 Turbo as also the later ones like 6340 Tubro, 7340 Turbo and 7341 Super Turbo as 4 cyl. engines.

So I think it will be the best you post some pictures of you tractor to let see us what tractor do you have. :)

The outlet is at the bottom of this bowl. Remove the cap before starting the compressor. You need a special hose with screw-on connector, or you can mount a quick coupling adapter.

I think this model was sold only one year, if only in Norway, I don't know, this on was imported in 1990.

Klas

Ah... now its clear. Its truely selfmade sticker on a original 1990 Zetor 5245 (45 hp at PTO, araound 50 hp at angine) with later mounted turbo kit from M&D. Cool...an early one with the number 0018, also from 1990, which means that the turbo kit was mounted on the factory-new tractor. :)

Can you take more photos of the locomotive with the hood open? Interesting stuff...

You can find the tire filler here at your air compressor valve, left side of your engine if you have a air brake system mounted...

I would think if was a 6545 leaving the factory, they wouldn't have put an official stamp plate on it saying it was a 5245. Have you got paperwork for the tractor?

Photo of top engine as requested.

Ref, air compressor, found outlet, have no airbrakes on traktor, but not enough pressure to fill tires.

Ref, paperwork, all OK.

He have postet posted the type plate and the M&D plate - both locking very original. Nad its to see how short the tractor is, so its 100% a 3-cyl model.
Edit: he has postet posted a better picture (thanks @Catch.22 ) and its 100% a 5245 3 cyl.

And - its not a original Zetor 5243 Turbo. It is a 5245 with the original old turbo kit - great... :D

I was asking, if you have official paperwork from registration. In this country, we have what's called a taxbook. It has chassis and engine number as leaving the factory and have the same information that is on that plate, riveted to the tractor.

The answer is still yes, what do you want for proof?

It's not the case in all countries like Ireland or the Czech Republic where tractor conversions can be a huge fuss - we Germans like to be particularly bureaucratic, but an increase in performance of 10-20% in a chassis that can handle at least 70 hp (including the brakes) is no big deal, even here.

I've seen such conversion kits on Zetor 7245s from that era, it's not that unusual. The only thing worth noting is that this time a 3-cylinder was converted - I think that's really good.

@klas
If you get a chance, can you please take a photo of the type plate on the turbocharger? I'm interested in what size turbocharger was installed compared to the Zetor tractors that were originally delivered with a turbo from the factory.

Here are two photos of my Zetor 7340 Turbo and the turbo type plate (all original)

And as axemple also a original Zetor 3 cyl turbo enginge

And - M&D seems to be alive... its possible also to ask them direktly I think.
