Dave,
Thank you very much for the information it now makes some sense, you would think that the Operator's Manual would have explained the air compressor's function.
Dale
What is the function of the air compressor on 5245 and does it have anything to do with the rear differential lock which does not seem to engage? Has anyone used it to inflate their tires?
Thanks Dave & Mike, as it turns out the seat would not come out and after raising the floor as Mike suggested the leak was not at the fitting but the metal line had a hole caused by the cab floor rubbing against it. We had to remove the rear glass, cab floor with seat attached and take it out...
The main hydraulic line that operates the lift (inner and outer circuits) is leaking. I can not see where the line goes in order to remove it. The line appers to go into the box where all the hydraulic lines are located but I can not find the fitting. Does the floor of the cab have to be...
I am thinking about buying a 7' Bush Hog brand rotary cutter that weights about 1200 pounds. Will the Zetor 5245 have a enough power and front end weigh for rotary cutter this large on hilly slopes? Anyone had experience with heavy implements? Thanks for yor help.
In order to keep a rotary cutter at a certain height but be able to raise and lower the lift does it need to be (P) position? It does not stay at a fixed height in the (M) position. Where do you check and add hydraulic fluid to the system? Thanks for your help.
Thanks Dave,
I just have one other question, when operating a rotary cutter off the PTO will the gearstick lever have to be in up position (ground speed dependant PTO) or can it work in the 2nd position (PTO and hyd pump)? Thanks again for your help.
Dale
I just bought a used Zetor 5245 and need to know how to engage the PTO. It will rotate but is not engaged because I can stop it by hand with the tractor in neutral. Does the tractor need to be in a gear with clutch engaged for it to operate? Any help will be apprecated.
