I had a 3321 that was doing the same thing. I noticed a piece of rubber o-ring when I changed the hydraulic filter. My dealer replaced the spool valve and it completely fixed the problem.
I don't use it for anything very heavy at all. I mostly just pull an 8 ft. bush hog. Only 200 hrs. in 4 years. I mainly needed more power when on the road and come to a hill. It is geared so high in high gear it would just kill it.
I took my 3321 to the dealer to put on the dyno to see if I had a problem. It was turning 38 hp. After they turned up the pump it was turning 62 hp. Its a completely different tractor to use now. Only took about 20 minutes and not very difficult at all.
I have a 3321 that is about the same hp. I pull an 8 ft. bush hog with mine. I mow in 2nd gear in high range. If the grass gets really tall I shift to 4th or 5th gear in low range. No problems whatsoever. Central Kentucky and fairly level land.
