Yes I have done this job quite a few times. And yes the tractor has to be spilt at the bell housing to get at the torque pump. b

if your tractor has a valve chest being fed from the back of the tractor,with a return in coupling 0,and the feed in coupling 1.bring the lever for hydraulics all the way back and hold it in that position by means of the fixing knob,this will send oil to your valve chest.
