A farmer around here, has a 11441 and he has one big complaint: The power at 1000rpm is very low, he has to take off at high rpm so it wont stall.
and WHEN it stalls, you have to wait 5 to 15 minutes before it will start again: If you try to start it immediately after a stall, the engine will turn fast but it just wont fire up.

Any ideas ??? Do these newer fuel pump have a solenoid that needs activation (like cars have) so when the engine rpm drops too low and the voltage from the alternator drops too, the solenoid shuts off the engine because the voltage is too low to keep the pump open ??

Just guessing. Does anyone have an idea ? Dealer couldnt find anything.

yes its true that the 11441 has very low torque at low rpms.... its because of the pump setting for the tier 2 emissions. i have stalled mine several times but it always fires straight up. there is no electronics or solenoids on the pump strictly mechanic.

Is it easy to bypass the correcting device ?

And are the TIER 3 models better ? I see a whole bunch of Forterra 125 being sold, though i would think the 135 with 16 valve engine would be preferred because of the 400Nm at 1000rpm...

yes the tier 3 is much better. i currently have a proxima power 105 now because my forterra is at the workshop. and the proxima engine has got good torque at low engine revs.

The same farmer also has a 2nd Zetor , a Proxima Power 95 which he loves. I dont know if this counts for all TIER 3A engines, because the emission standards for the 99hp Proxima engine is lighter than the TIER 3A standard for the 100-175 hp category in which the 11441 sits.
However the Proxima 105 is also in the 100-175hp class, so the TIER 3A engine in current 120hp forterras should perform better, as you say.

Can anyone with a Forterra 115 or 125 chime in, to tell if these are better ?
