Hi Guys,
We looking at purchasing a 16245 in Australia. It's only done 2500 hours. Problem is the last operator is no longer around and we can't work out how to turn off the PTO.

We have tried every lever and when we put something against the PTO to stop it turning, it still turns with some force. We also have trouble getting the 3 point linkage down (up is ok). Even with two of us standing on the side linkages it takes a couple of minutes to come down. Finally we can't dis-engage 4WD, again tried all levers and can't get it to turn off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we love this tractor but are scared it may costs us more than the 16k.

Hi,

PTO should stop when you operate the little lever to the left of the steering column. (Opposite side to the hi-low lever). If it still will not stop you probably have a pto brake problem. (Not too bad to repair).
Lift on rear has a rate of drop knob under the seat r/h side. It should screw outwards (anti-clockwise) for faster drop.
4WD has a small button coming through the floor on the l/h side of the seat. It is connected to a cable similar to a stop cable so is not very strong and sometimes breaks.

Good luck.
Mike
