I have read many posts that have quoted different HP on this tractor. The book states 66, is this correct for a USA import? Also, what about adjusting the pump for more power. I have a loader, and also 800 pounds of fluid in each rear tire (16.9-34). Total weight is about 11,500 pounds. When I deliver hay to customers I am pulling about 20,000 pounds. I am in the hill country of southwest Ohio, so I could us about 15 HP more. Is it a good idea to crack the pump, and if so could some one give me detailed instruction on how to do it.
Thank You
George

66 PTO hp perhaps, but 80+ engine hp are easily achieved. They were sold as 76hp at the crankshaft here.

hi george
I also have have a 6341 and looking to get a wee bit more power out of it did you crack the pump in the end and did i work?

thanks
shaun

by the way, 20.000 pounds is 9 ton which is what i pull with the 3011 :)

I have not tried to change the pump. Don't know how. 20,000 is not much until you hit some of the hills we have here. One hill I go down on the way to one customer will slip the tires in 4x4. that is on asphalt. But at least it is straight so I could let it run if I had to.

Thats why i made a tandem bale trailer, with at least 1500kg of weight on the drawbar. No skidding tires ever... :)

you should know that the 3011 is tuned a bit wild and does more than a standard 5245 :)

it wouldnt have mattered its too light and you Your brakes would have gone in no time. come visit some time and ill show you around. 9000 kg of load is too much even for 6340 here in the hill country. only the 140 can take on such a load and get away With it safely. ;)

I'm not recommending turning up your 6341 but usually less than 10% increase is fine. Keep in mind this is a NA tractor and you may get a little fuel smoke under a load. Also, the radiators in the super series tractors were none to big so keep and eye that.

Thanks for all the replies. I am not sure what I will do. I don't know how to turn it up even if I want to.
