Still finding my way around the 3045, so a couple of questions.
The PTO lever has 3 positions, but the hyds only seem to work
when the PTO is turning, are they all like this or should the lift work without the shaft turning?

Also need a rim to hold a lens into one of the front lights, can anyone help ?

Thanks.

Yes, this is the main drawback of the 3011 and 3511 generation for haymaking: you cant fold the tedder up hydraulically, because the U joints bust if you leave the PTO running.

If you have perfect lift ram seals, there is another way: If you shift the range selector to neutral, and the oil pump to drive speed (one further is PTO at ground speed) , you put the tractor in 3rd and drive the oil pump independent of the PTO.

Just, my ram seals are bad, it drops too quickly, and driving in 5th gear means that the oil pump is driven at 1380rpm instead of 540, which will bust it soon.

So for now, i just take the PTO shaft off before folding the tedder. Untill i change my ram seals.
