I am new to Zetor and just purchased a 3340 that I am fixng up. I love it so far, very pleased with what I have for the money. Most things I have been able to take care of except for one thing. The PTO/hydraulic shiftier won't go into the hydraulic only position (full forward) unless I remove the floor plate. If I do, the shifter can move far enough forward to disengage the PTO leaving the hydraulic pump running. I read some here and checked the shift handle to shaft pinned connection on the outside of the case. It has had the pin replaced and it is all tight. So the problem must be inside the gear box, possibly an adjustment of the PTO and/or hydraulic linkage? Any thoughts? Is it easy to pop the top of the gear box and fix? One option is cut a slot in the cover so the lever can move further forward. Thanks in advance!

So inside the gear box top cover there is a weld on the end of the shifter shaft? Is that easy to access and fix? Thank you

Yes, correct.
Easy fix when you have the top cover off.
If it hasn't been off before you'll have to cut off the 2 eyelets stopping you lifting the front of the cover up.

Sorry to keep asking questions, but are the eyelets on the trans cover itself or on tractor body to allow it to come off?
