Last week, my Zetor 4320 ran rough then shut down. The fuel gauge showed a third of a tank. But when I filled the tank I was able to crank it. Then yesterday, I was using it to pull a 5-bottom plow and the engine began to bog down at the end of the rows. After plowing about two acres it began to run rough again and shut down. I cleaned out the sediment bowl, cleaned the fuel filter, filled the tank full, primed the manual thingy and it still won't crank. Is it possible that overloading the engine caused it to lose compression ? Thanks

Did you bleed it good enough, just because you primed it doesn't mean it will just start up if there is dirt floating around in the system, make sure there's not muck in the tank and the pipes that run to the bottom of the diesel tank have a filter on the bottom of them.

I will just drain the tank, pull it off, wash it out, replace all the filters and hoses and bleed it. Also clean the injectors if I have to. Thanks

hey it might be the small fuel pump under the injection pump.i had the same problem on a 7320 and i installed an electric fuel pump.problem solved after this

Do you see a airbuble in the glass bowle. Classical problem was bad and cracked hoses, The pump sucks air. I had the same problem on my 4340, changed all hoses and installed a electrical liftpump. Do not forget the hoses from the injection nozzles back to the injection pump. Buy rubber hoses that stand RME, the original did not. This was done 3-4 years ago and have had no problem since then. Also check the metal pipe coming from the tank so there is no rust leakage. What you describe sounds like the classical problem sucking air.
