Equiped with a grapple this tractor was quite a hit with the locals and out of towners. Everyone was impressed. I have a question reguarding the clutch. Sometimes when holding a small amount of pressure while grabbing debris the clutch makes a noise ( doesn't slip ) just a moan, any ideas?

Your tractor has a cerametallic clutch plate fitted which sometimes has a moan/screech characteristic as the drive takes up & is nothing to be concerned about.

:D

dont worry ...... ???

When cerametal type clutch make a noice it is grinding little metal pieces like a lathe..... When you break clutch like that the disc plate is like a new without any wearing, but preussure plates are worn out badly :(

Usually normal clutch plate works fine at forestry use about 6000 hours least, but cerametal clutch had to repair after 3500 hours :(

And in difficult place like going over ditches with full load it was really bad to use because it isnt "smooth" enought to operate.

I thought that Zetor leave cerametal clutches when they built 12 series but maybe it is still as optional :sneaky:

The problem with woven facing is that after asbestos was outlawed, facing manufactures have not been able to come up with a facing that holds up as well. Some clutch rebuilders have used carbotic pads on a button style disc for loader applications that seems to not be as abraisive, and not as grabby.
