My tractor has 250 hrs to date but when I start it, she sounds like a Poppin John sometimes untill I rev her up ( sorta clear her throat ). I have read to start at full throttle, can this be true?

How cold is it then ??

It sounds like you're having some air in the fuel ...

Yes this is true,
the cold start jumps in,only when you putt the pedal to the metal. After starting immediately slow it down. this is the correct way off starting.(for as fare i know)

I live in south east texas so temp is not a issue. I just have a problem I guess reving my motor just after starting. I was thinking a injector but after I rev it up it stops. Makes me think one injector was leaking.
Thanks again

This is normal... Dont let it bother you if it start anyway.

The cold starting device "shus off" automatically but it do this low revs. So when engine is deading again it activate cold starting device again. And then it shut it off and then activate it again and then shut it.......................

It is possible to adjust the injection pump but its not needed. One way is to mount a Thermostart device to air inlet (there is place in the cast, but there is no hole and threads on it) cast block. I did this to mine 7745 and adjusted the injection pump too. Now it starts much more nice, even -30 degrees cold!

return line caused this ?? hmm..

Hey Markku how did you adjusted the fuel pump ?? I think i need to do the same on our 5245... (and give more hp as well ;) )

I know from use if u stop the return on Cat engines u get more throttle response, thoater sound, and smoke. Down side us more fuel , engine doesn't run as smooth.

wasn't thinking, this being a new tractor and all. But I'm sure Renze you know all the ways of getting more power from these engines. All I do know is after I straightened out the line motor run much smoother but does have the same power. Back in the 18 wheeler days here in the US that was a cheap way to get a few extra horses.
