do i have split the tracktor between transmission case and the rear or front? or both?
its a 1975 4712 with cab and heating. only modification is a new ac alternator.
the old one, didn charge the battery when i used full power on lights and heater.
In a 3011 you can take out the top shaft when its only split at the clutch (and both input shafts are taken out)
On a 6711 you need to take the shaft out from the rear end because it has a machined chest against which the bearing rests, while in the 3011 the bearing is locked between TWO Seeger rings.
