I have recently got a 4712. As this is my first tractor I know very little about them. I have obtained manuals for the tractor, but I am having some trouble as to what some things do. Under the seat is a lever. The manual says that it is a "Hydraulic power lift response lever" but does not mention what it is for. Can someone please tell me what it does.

Ben ???

My understanding of this lever is that when the lever is pushed to extreme left position it gives full response to the hydraulic lift and when fully to the right, all the pressure is sent to the tipping valve. When in the middle it gives equal amounts to both. I could stand corrected on this !

Thanks Quinny,

That has been a great help and I understand most of that, except what is the tipping valve? Where is it and what does it do, can't find it in the workshop manual.

Ben
