Hi,
I have a 4718, i am having problems with the dynamo and voltage regulator, does anyone know if there is an alternator which will fit straight in.
If not does anyone know where i can obtain a voltage regulator from, the contacts on mine are totally burn,t away.

If you get a standard ISKRA unit, it has a voltage regulator built in.
I think the aftermarket ones from Magneton (Zetor OEM supplier) also have a built in regulator.

Ixer, i have this Magneton alternator on the shelf, but found that the pulley doesnt fit...
Does the original pulley fit this alternator ?
It may be that the ISKRA alternator came with a pulley, and that the original Zetor pulley went into the trash bin with the broken alternator..

However i'm not sure about this, so i would like to know if the standard Zetor pulley fits the new Magneton alternator before i pull things apart again...

By the way, i am not impressed with the 50 euro ISKRA alternator... it broke after a year, so now it uses an alternator of my old Volvo 440 TD which has the same amperes... This one is now broken too.

Hi Renze

I always use the Magneton alternators and they come with a pulley already attached in this country. I doubt if the dynamo pulley will fit so I'd guess you'd need one of those too.
Re the Iskra parts - they are cheaper than some but like most things you get what you pay for !! The iskra starters aren't very reliable and don't start like Bosch etc especially on the Same's over here. My local electrical factor company took one in part exchange the other day, off a Perkins in a Landini, but said that no-one would overhaul them for them.
