Hi Folks! I'm new here. And, of course, I'm coming in the door with a problem...
Looks like I'm going to have to turn down the rod journals on the crank of my 5245 because of an oil starvation problem that spun one of the bearings and loused another one up. My machinist is having one terrible time trying to loosen the jackscrews that hold the weights to the crank so we get it cut down. We've got the locking tabs released, but the jackscrews themselves are a bugger to turn in. Does anyone know if you need to apply heat to loosen them? Perhaps there was some form of stick-um used on those threads like Lock-Tite? Anyone who has experience in this realm of Zetor ownership, and can offer guidance on this problem would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
