Hi , I posted a thread on this problem a good while ago, but i not sure i understand how to fix problem.
My problem is i can drive and change gears in first ,second and third but when i try the two top gears the selector gets stuck, so i have to open the four bolts and leaver parts back into place so i am only driving tractor in first to third but need to fix so i can go faster.
Renze mentioned welding due to wear in cover plate,
I'm hoping someone can give me some detail in fixing my problem do i need to drain gearbox and if i undo the gearbox cover bolts will the cover just lift off or do i need to remove leavers and more before taking cover off ?
Many thanks Richard

Maybe the adjustable length shift rod is maladjusted. I think only the 4/5 rod was adjustable.

I thought i needed to weld under cover or buy some kind of kit to take up wear in slider rods ?
IS there an adjustment i can do ?
I have undone the bolts at the front of gear selector on top of gearbox cover and pushed the rod back into place and tractor will work fine but if i go into the two top gears when i go to change into a lower gear it gets stuck between gears thats when i have to undo cover and realign rod

Then check the arrestor bolts. In a row in front of the pto and range levers. If they dont retain it will wander during the ride. Inside these hollow bolts are springs and a Ball, causing the click when it slips into position.

I had one which Got stuck in gear because the bolt ran loose. Tightened it back in place and it was cured
