I'm in Ireland, any one know how much a second hand power steering kit would cost and if available? Also if i had a front loader would it be able to lift a silage bale. zetor 5718.

Take a look at the advertisers in Classic Tractor for PS kits. This would cost in the region of E300 (I think).

You could always get a PS box and PS pump off an old scrapped 4x4.

Personally, I don't think that the 5718 would be meaty enough for the job but doubtless there will be those that we prove me wrong.

Ron Greet had some Turkish made kits that would fit your tractor, complete with pump and all parts at around 100 a couple of years ago, Phone & see if he still has any. He would ship to Ireland. His Phone +44803 812269

The 5718 will be plenty meaty enough to carry one.. but will a standard front loader of the same era as the tractor, lift a heavy Irish bale ?
Over here in Holland we bale much drier, rake and ted 2 to 3 times and have it dry for 2 days.

Also, in Holland we dont have hills. Driving on hills with a bale on the loader might be tricky. use a heavy 3pt weight.
