I have a 6045 which has new battery, magnatron starter, battery terminal clamps n fuses. Used it n worked fine (no brakes but hand brake is excellent), after 5 weeks went to start it and nothing.
- charged battery over night
- gears in neutral
- clutch fully depressed
- key pushed in (not turned)
- instruments light up as usual (battery etc)
- power to gauges (fuel ,temp)
- press starter button in n no cranking, silence

Please help .
Thanks

Check the earth strap is well grounded and the battery clamps are not corroded. Your battery could also be knackered too, if it's been too long flat, there's no guarantee that it will return to it's former state.

Check whether 12V arrives at the coil on the starter motor (the thin wire). If it does arrive but the coil does not engage, you will have to take it apart and see whether it is stuck. If it is not stuck and makes a clicking noise, check the big connections; one is live, the other is ground. In any case, while you are at it, clean the connections of the cables and cover them with a layer of hard grease or paint once they are connected again.
