hi, this tractor has been sitting up over 6mts, now i cant get it into gear when the clutch is pressed, if i put into gear and then start it it will drive but can only stop it by turning of tractor again because pressing the clutch doesnt disengage transmission, its like the clutch unit is stuck together because the fluid cylinder is moving the clutch fork . anyone an idea how can seperate it without having to split the tractor ?
the quick way is to try to pull or push something immovable with the clutch pedal pushed down.. it will either free up or tear the centre out of the clutch disc.
bottom gear at tickover drive up to a tree with the pedal down... or chain the drawbar to the tree and drive slowly away with the pedal down. clutch will free, break or tyres spin.
you can often free a ctuck pto clutch by dropping a rotating rotavator onto the ground with the cluch lever pulled up
