6245 clutch Wont Disengage

I have an older 6245. The clutch won't completly disengage. I blead the master and the slave cyl. I have good pedal tension. When I depress the pedal I see the clutch linkage move. Even when full released, there still seems to be a lot of tension on the clevis fork between the linkage and the slave. If I remove the fork, and lower my RPMs, I can jam the tractor into gear and it will move correctly. If I have the fork in place the clutch will not disengage all the way and I can not get the tractor to move. (it might move half an inch thats it.) It acts like the rod between the slave and the linkage is too long, but its the same rod that was working before. Any thoughts? I thought about heading the rod and bending it a little to shorten it up. Think that would work but would prefer the correct solution. Is there an adjustment?

Have you tried loosening the bleed screw on the slave cylinder after you let the pedal up ? My thought is that either the master cyl or the slave cylinder are sticking. Does the slave cyl look rusty inside ?

The slave was releasing all the way, as far as I could tell.

I was able to "mask" the problem and get it working by grinding a 1/4 inch off the end of the shaft. it works perfectly now, but I wouldn't say its "fixed" just symptom masked.

try putting some type of rust buster down the lube tube that comes out of inspection plate.
