I have a 6245 with about 1600 hrs on it not sure tach does not work. I bought it about a year ago with a loader on it. I really like the tractor but the transmission keeps popping out of low range. Sometimes during loader work and mostly during field work. My dealer told me that the shifting fork must be bent so I replace it because it was bent slightly. I now started doing field work and it still pops out after about 15 minutes of operation. Any suggestions of what else is wrong?

HI,

The part usually at fault when this happens is not the fork but the little shaft which the gear lever is mounted on. The weld on the inside starts to crack and lets the shaft twist slightly. You probably will not see the crack.

Regards

Mike
