Howdy, I'm new here so please forgive me, if I ask a simple question or two!

I kind of inherited a 6245 that had been abandoned 10 years ago. Took it to shop and had engine rebuild and trying to work some of the bugs out myself. I'm a novice at farming and just a weekend warrior for now, just trying to help my land pay the taxes!

6245 has and Allied loader works great, problem is with remote hydraulics. Cant get hay roller to move in both directions. Top hydraulic port seems to work fine. But bottom port not acting when outer circuit lever is pushed forward. Pull back on lever and roller will open (or close), but push forward and it does nothing. Switch lines and roller will move in opposite direction.??

Any suggestions?

And thanks for all the info on the forum! I have been lurking for almost a year now!

Not sure what a hay roller is? but in this part of the world, I think it's a round baler. And your mean that it's working to open the back door but won't close it again. So if you have a loader on it, is the valve chest for the loader plugged into one of the hydraulic valves?

Sorry, I'll try to post a picture when I can get to a computer. Not sure what its official name is, just used to roll out round bales for feeding cattle. It's old, but I put new hydraulic lines on and it works perfect on my little compact tractor....but I'm afraid this years bales are too heavy for it. Plus Zetor has a cab and a block heater, hoping we dont get much snow this winter but we are due for rough one.

I think the loader should work independently . At least it does on compact. But I'll try to trace lines when I get home this weekend. I know someone had added two lines to rear to operate a baler, and they robbed from the bucket tilt to do that. I have a spear on front now. Was hoping to get both working for winter.

Thanks for your time!

You have there a bale unroller feeder, I thought they were worked by a hydraulic motor, which would need a feed and return from the tractor or is it a double acting ram?

The front loader usually are worked with a valve chest which would be powered from the back of the tractor but if it not then someone was using the tractor hyd lever but didn't have enough connections so that's why the bucket won't tip.
