Zetor 6245 with trima loader
Just picked up a 6245 with a trima loader. It's been in a barn for a few years. Has quite a few issues. Starts and runs. Engine seems perfect but has issues with clutch, brakes (initially seizing on. Now nothing). Power steering comes and goes and steering ram is leaking badly As is 3 point lift ram. Not sure 4x4, compressor or PTO work yet, electrics bit of a mess.
Otherwise pretty tidy. Low hours. Good tires. Barn stored. Very little rust.
Just need to put in some time on fixing it up.

Hello and welcome Joe!

Thanks. Looking forward to getting this one going. Never had a zetor before or worked with them really but im impressed with the Design. Seems simple and sturdy and well thought out. Even some big surprises like an onboard air compressor which is amazing for a tractor of this age and size. Parts seem to be quite good value and fairly easily available in UK but are there any recommendations of particular suppliers. I know Davis implements near us used to deal in zetor parts but no longer stock them.

I'm going to make a start with the steering I think as this is the part currently making using the tractor most difficult. (Our land is completely flat so brakes can wait for now.

The steering ram is leaking pretty badly and steering is coming and going. It's leaking from the gator of the ball joint on the side of the back of the ram. There is about 1cm of slack in the ball joint meaning it's pretty work on the inside I think. I assume the leak is I ternal and just making it's way out of there. I found new whole rams for sale on royperfect.com for £520 (I'm in UK) but if I could just replace the box at the end of the ram with the hydraulic fittings and ball joints I'm thinking it would be a lot cheaper. Anyone know if these are available separately?

3 point lift ram is also leaking quite badly from the top of the piston. Are these just o rings inside or a specific zetor seal?
