6245 steering going crazy

the pas on my 6245 has just started radically pulling to right. checked fluid and topped off, no change. also very hard to turn back to left. locking to left turn causes pas to jerk hard. Question is can the pas head be cleaned and repacked or does it just have to be replaced.

Sounds like adjustment. Check the post back in November - "7745 hard to steer".

thanks for response, must have blown right by it. going to parts store right now for dextron atf.
