Hey there, new to the forum here.
I recently traded for a 6245 tractor and it has a miss in the engine. I'm not sure if it is an injector problem or something else. Someone has mounted an electric fuel pump just before the injection pump. I have read here where the pressure to the injection pump should be 10 lbs. I have checked the temperature of each cylinder and the #1 cylinder is 100F degrees cooler than the other three with engine running. We removed the head and there is no damage on the piston wall. So Im thinking it is an injector problem. With engine running, I have also opened each injector line and pressure is good to each. The engine sound does not change when I crack the line on the #1 cylinder. When I open the other three the engine sound changes.
Does this sound like a bad injector or a possible broken ring or something else?

Thanks,
HBilly

I drove the tractor today and when the tractor is under load it runs like a champ, when not under load the engine sounds like it has a miss. Anybody have any idea where to start to resolve the problem? Your ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Hbilly

Thanks for your reply Alan, much appreciated.
Can you tell me how to do this please?
I have ordered a manual for this tractor but I haven't received it yet.

Thanks ,
HBilly
