Hey there, new to the forum here.
I recently traded for a 6245 tractor and it has a miss in the engine. I'm not sure if it is an injector problem or something else. Someone has mounted an electric fuel pump just before the injection pump. I have read here where the pressure to the injection pump should be 10 lbs. I have checked the temperature of each cylinder and the #1 cylinder is 100F degrees cooler than the other three with engine running. We removed the head and there is no damage on the piston wall. So Im thinking it is an injector problem. With engine running, I have also opened each injector line and pressure is good to each. The engine sound does not change when I crack the line on the #1 cylinder. When I open the other three the engine sound changes.
Does this sound like a bad injector or a possible broken ring or something else?
Thanks,
HBilly
