Should there be a large amount of free play in the clutch arm. The PTO clutch arm ( the inner arm) has very little free play and with a wrench I can push this arm rearwards (counterclockwise) against a strong spring.
The arm for main clutch resting position is similar to the PTO arm, but I cannot move it rearwards with a wrench. There is 15 to 20 degree free play moving the lever forwards (clockwise). Looking and feeling in the clutch housind window, I see no movement when moving this free play and with my hand inside I can feel no movement.
See my post "6340" clutch adjustment" below for an account of my problem with a frozen clutch. Before I split the tractor, I want to put the slave back on and try to free the clutch by chaining to a tree. Any suggestions ?
