This almost 20 year old tractor has had poor maintenance, probably never a lube change of gearbox. I think the tractor has low hours, maybe 1500 to 2000. The clock stopped at 290 hours. I drained the gearbox (~30L) and the front drive shaft box (~4L). Is there a drain on the final drive case ? There is a large (~40mm) nut on the round cover above the drawbar. Is this a drain plug ?

There was a large amount of sludge on the filters and fine metal on the magnets. I plan to fill with UTF fluid instead of 80W, thinking this may have better cleaning effect, and change the fluid again after 50 or 100 hours. Does this seem right ?

Also the nylon screen in the return filter has some of it's panel loosened, but it will be a week or more before a replacement will arrive, so I will clean and use the old one.

Does any one have a Canada/USA part # for the paper fine filter element ?
