6341 4X4 air cylinder

I am getting ready to replace the seal in the cylinder, is there anything that I need to be careful about. Any advice will be helpful and appreciated. Thank you.

It has a big spring inside it.

Well, I replaced the seal in the cylinder, and it still leaks. What am I missing? The air comes out of the bottom of the cylinder, around the shaft. Thanks for any help I can get.
