6711 diesel tank

hi i,m wondering how to remove diesel tank from 6711 , to put in a 6718.
will i have to take of steering column , because the column looks like it is down thought the tank

the 6711 has a bigger fuel tank than a 6718 because of the footspace in conjunction with the cab floor being 15cm higher than the footrests on a cabless model.

Either way, you cannot take the column out through the tank, you must remove the steering Wheel off the column, which is ni impossible, without the proper steering wheel puller as the aluminium Boss tends to seize solid onto the (soft) steel taper of the column
PS the thread is very soft, do not hit it with a hammer .... not even once!

With the cab version you can !! Remember i gave you false instructions ? I checked the parts manual then, and found that cabless 4 cylinders had different tanks.

just to be clear here the 6711 tank will fit the 6718

Noted, .... must be the only thing that is easier to do with a cab!
Still glad i have a cabless model
but then it only snows one day every 2 years where i live, and i only use the tractor if it is fine

Its listed as fitting 3011-6718 but my 3011 holds only 30 liter and my 5718 holds 60 liter... Perhaps it fits if you move the battery to under the footrest plate, just like the 4 cylinder models.

Who,s. lukas That the tank I need . I,m gonna stick on a temp plastic tank for now til I get one.

Ps. What,s a 6718 worth these days , one for sale for 3200 in the paper
