ive just got a zetor 6718 zetormatic, new filters, new battery when delivered was said that battery flat due to bleading the system after new filters fitted. It started on the bump start and ran for a few hours and cut 2 acers of grass well. Stoped, started, stopped started etc ok. Left it 3 days and when i came to start it, engine turned over, but no start. exhaust smoke- yes, stater motor got hot, infact began to smoke a bit?
Recharged battery. followed advice to check filters ok and bowls clean in bottom (they needed cleaning propery) also the see through pump filter needed cleaning as could see bits in.
blead filters and pumped the litttle primer pump near see through filter unit. Still no start.(yep i have pressed primer button)
Advice to Crack the in pipe nut on the feed to injector whilst someone turned the engine, very little fuel spurting out, more a dribble if that! Also now no smoke from exhaust at all.

Im thinking, fuel not gettign to injecters? how do I get the fuel there? how do i bleed the system up to this point.

I belive the tractor has been stood for some time, (years).
What should i do now?

Hi

No smoke means no fuel as you say. Loosen fuel pipes in turn to see how far you are able to pump the fuel through the system. (Make sure the coldstart button "clicks" into place as they will not start without it when cold.) If you're getting fuel to the injection pump, try taking the side plate off the pump to see if the rack moves freely. You may well have stuck governor linkage as the rear of the pump should have oil in it but often gets forgotten causing everything to sieze up.
