Hi

Im restoring an old 7045. It has a problem with the 3point lift, the lever that controlls height is stuck.

I have taken the rear cover off and looked inside. Seems like the small "pistons" that the lift lever goes to on the distributor is stuck.

Am I looking at buying a complete new distributor or is it possible to fix?

Also the piston and body on the main cylinder is a little scored, but in my opinion it should be possible to just hone the cylinder and sand out the marks on the pistons. New seals and ring and good to go.

Anyone have any input?

Well Ive replaced the main piston and replaced the seals and piston ring. So now the cylinder/piston should be good.

But I have problems with the distributor and the outer circuit. It seems the outer circuit slide valve doesnt behave as it should. When I operate the lever for the outer circuit the valve sometimes get stuck like its gone too far out. And then it wont go in.... its like its tilted a little in the sleeve.

Please anyone have any ideas or experienced the same. Is it possible to get spare parts for the distributor and repair or do I have to buy the hole unit.

Please anyone.

on our 5245 we once had it open, and the lever was attached a spline further than before. That caused the lever to hook into the plastic slot it runs in, as it was worn to the previous position.

Thanks Renze.

Think I got it sorted now. According to motocheck in Finland the outer circuit valve is like this from birth. It can get stuck for no apparant reason....

I did however open up the distributor and cleaned the valve and body. had to use some fine grit paper to remove some wear and nicks to get it smooth. Seems to work good now.
