we currently own a 6718. last yr we reconditioned a 7045 engine and fitted this to our 6718, however we had to fit the tractors original injector pump. Problem: when the tractor is not working hard alot of blue smoke comes from the exhaust. any idea as to what the problem is

YES!!!!!!! I KNOW I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM! THE TROUBLE I EXPECT IS THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS NOT GIVING ENOUGH FUEL AT THE 7045 IDLE SPEED? SO THE TRACTOR RUNS TO SLOW AT 6718 IDLE SPEED WICH IS SLOWER? SO OPENING THE PUMP A BIT MIGHT STOP IT? OR THE INJECTORS ARE WORN DID YOU GET THEM RECONDITIONED WITH THE ENGINE? YOU COULD TRY SOME INJECTOR CLEANER FIRST THAT MIGHT HELP OR MAYBE THE TRACTOR ISNT GETTING ENOUGH AIR ? CLEAN THE FUEL FILTER! IT SOUNDS LIKE IT NEEDS A GOOD SERVICE MORE THAN ANYTHING?:)

If it doesnt smoke when the engine works, air cant be the problem.

Blue smoke is oil . When the engine is cold, it is allowed to smoke a bit white/blue.
