Hey everybody, have a 7045 which has had a very hard life. we are in the middle of an overhaul *just rebuilt injector pump and decarbonized cylinder head. runs nice and crisp. we are now focusing on the backend which needs desperate attention. the hydraulics barely work (very slow and weak auxiliaries). logically we cleaned the magnetic filter and replaced the hydraulic pump in the transmission pan with an aftermarket polish build unit. after reassembly the hydraulics are the exact same...??? im off the farm right now, but we want to replace the "head" gasket on the transmission the next time im over. is it possible that the hydraulincs are bypassing somewhere? also the 3PH and aux hyd. controls are all loose and out of adjustment, any pointers on getting these nice and tight?

There is a small pipe of 2cm long between the pump mounting plate and differential housing, and between diff housing and lift cover that have two O rings on each pipe. Its a known culprit.

Next to that, are you sure your pressure relief valve is ok ?

thanks renze, i will definately check it out. too bad we bolted up the pan already though. no matter, hopefully we can reuse the gasket. i have no idea whether the pressure relief is functioning, where it is, or how to diagnose it. would it be too much to ask for some pointers?
