clearance is probably too tight. They drag a little, get hot, expand from the heat and bind. if possible, slacken it off a little.

I've had this problem a few times. You'll need to take the wheel cylinders off and clean them up. They get corroded and the pistons partly sieze. When you put it together don't adjust the brakes too tight. Back off one and a quarter turns from the wheel locking.
