Any helpful information would be greatly apreciated! Here is the problem :

The PTO on my 7745 stops randomly, even though the lever is well settled on the correct position. When it's on, I can see the lever going slightly back and forth, and then after a while it just turns off. So I have to stop very often when cutting or baling hay to put it back into "on" position. It's winter now and I'm not using the PTO at all, but spring is coming and I really need to get this problem fixed before summer.

Thanks!

How much driven? Its not usual that pto lever jump off. 550/1000 selecting lever can jump sometimes.

I was wondering, it can be worn claw clutch in the differential housing. It takes some time and work to change it ???

But that clew clutch wear end maybe at 8000 hours..... If its 3000 hours driven it is propably just the locking stud front of the connecting lever.

Which lever is moving? the speed change one in the middle or the one which puts the PTO and hydraulics in gear ?
We found that the rubber mat was stopping the one in the centre from turning as far as it should. fixed by always putting the lever behind the mat. this from new.
See previous posts for fix of the other lever.

Thanks for the answers, I will forward them to my firiend who usually repairs my tractor. It's the lever on the left that jumps out of it's place, the one that drives the PTO and hydraulics... I couldn't tell you the hours, certainly much lower than 8 000.
