8011 brakes

Brakes on one side stuck while driving, got hot with a lot of smoke and fumes. Released it with a hammer. It is now rolling. What do I have to do to repair or prevent it happening again? Thank you.

Go to page 4 and you will find an entry on 8011 brakes. I have to get the brakes on my 12045 working again. I suspect the internal mechanisms can seize up. Some access is provided by taking the mechanism plates off the axle housing.

Hi

It's usually the little wheel cylinders on the rear of the axle siezed or the linkage connected to them.
