:)My first zetor . hi all at last i can talk freely without people sniggering and snidly walking away. iv just bought a cosmeticly restored 1975 8011 with an allegidly 3000 hours[its been a learning curve without a manual but just got a cd rom manual to day]its specifically to drive a10 ton opico grain drier and a crimper mill and poss hedge cutter figured it would run more frugal than our case 5150[exelent tractor] had a little head scraching to get the pto working after a bit of crunching but figured it out using those little levers on the dash and the little one under the cab to change oil flow and also eventually found the way to change the pto speeds.my prob now is i dont know how accurate the new aftermarket rpm dial is as it was fitted to the tractor when i bought it .has anyone any suggestions how i can test it.?oh underload at night there seems to be a pretty shower of sparks coming out of the exaust pipe iv been told this is just carbon build up?not to mention the track rod end that fell off and the mysterious oil leak and dodgy breaks etc well it is 36.i want this tractor to work to prove everyone wrong, i like it but so far it has been a great comic sorce of mirth and merryment at my expence and its only been a week?at least it looks easy to fix and it was cheap and to my eyes at least simple purpusful and functional not sure yet if id want to spend a day on it yet. but im sure with a bit of sound deading foam and some stick on dark green window tint and a radio it wouldent be bad.and the best bit is the size of the cab and a brilliant heater i can fit my two dogs in there and put her behind the seat but she wont until i have the windows tinted.il buy her a link box and take her shopping and spoil her one day.

Dont worry about the sparks, bit of hard work would clear that.
To check tach accuracy, borrow a revcounter from someone and set the engine at what you think is 540 or 1000 PTO speed , whichever you are using, set pto revolving and check shaft speed.
