Gday guys, I have just rebuilt my 8011 and put a new clutch plate in it along with a few seals Igot it all back together and apart from a new oil leak deeper in the gear box the clutch slips very badly it struggles to get up any hill empty the virtually stops and u can hear like a whistling sound but I have the clutch adjusted as close as I can without being to be not able to get into gear at all, why is it slipping!!!! I'm sick of working on it!!!
Hi,
If all you've done to the clutch is put a plate in it, maybe you've put the plate in back to front ?
Adjustment is about 25mm of play on the pedal.
Hmmm I don't think so, I'm sure I got it in the right way and I had a second opinion on it aswell, besides the New clutch plate looked to have the same amount of spline out each side of the plate anyway
Ok so me and the ol Fella had a brainwave, what grade oil should the gearbox be running? I just put regular hydrologic oil in it (stuff I use in the New Holland's and John deeres) we think it should be 80-90w gearbox oil? Is this correct?
Ok so I have adjusted the brake band On the ta with some instructions I found on this forum, it has definitely helped the issue but still slipping on very steep inclines, but in saying so I only had 25l of oil to put in it so maybe that's not enough but it was also just regular light hydraulic oil, so I'm hoping buying 40L of 80-90 might cure it all together
So I changed the oil to 80-90w and still no help apart from fixing the oil leak then I had a major fuel blockage and almost decided to drive it Off a cliff, but it's all good now turns out the disconnected hi-lo lever was back to front under the platform and was in high when it looked like it was in lo, lesson learnt, always check the simple things 5 or even 6 times b4 going spending a lot of money
