8011 oil leak

Hi I have a 70's 8011 Crystal. It is leaking a fair bit of oil under the gear box just where the pick-up hitch is attached. Where would the oil be coming from and how do I stop it? Thanks for your help .

is the whole rear end wet with oil? if so, you may have blown the top cover gasket on the transmission...

First wash it thoroughly, especially under the rear floor, I suspect that you will then find a hydraulic leak, either a loose banjo bolt or a split pipe. The seal around the pto shaft can also leak.
