8011 PTO HP

Hi All,

Just wondering what the correct PTO HP for a 1978/79 8011 is ?

I have 2 Crystals with exactly the same engine (8001) & the same injector pump (2478 ) & I put both of them on a Dyno tester today (see video on YouTube ) and there is a massive difference between the two tractors.

My '78 one is putting out 74 HP with a worn engine ( leaking exhaust valve & fairly low oil pressure ) while the '79 one , even though the engine seems a lot healthier is struggling to reach 60 HP.

Anyone got any ideas as to what could be making the difference ?

I'm going to swap injector pumps to see if this helps.

Any advice appreciated.

the lazy one should be worked more. just make it burn the soot out of the exhaust and it will pull better.

Success !!!

I swapped injector pumps today & tried the "lazy" 8011 on the Dyno again.

With the injector pump swapped & NO other changes the PTO HP is now a steady 78.

Looks like a little diesel goes a long way
