Gday from Australia, I'm looking at buying a 8145 with a front blade and was wondering what differences there are between that and my 8011, apart from the obvious 4wd and cosmetic difference? Are the gearbox and engine the same thing?

mostly, but 40kmh and synchro became optional on the x1xx series.

Balanced engine, sloping bonnet, dry air cleaner, screw in dipstick, engine oil lubricated fuel pump, shorter fwd drive shaft, donut type pipe between thermostat and water pump and later ones didn't have the stupid hydraulic micro pump for the assister rams + what Renze has said

So just a better tractor in all?

Had a test drive of it the other day, hadn't been started in 6 months but started strait away, alternator was rooted along with the batteries and one rear wheel was locked but came free when I standed on the diff lock, rust in the brake assume? And I couldn't figure out how to put it in 4wd but apart from that I was bloody mint as with only 930 hours

For 4wd pull up very small knob that sticks out of the floor to the left of the seat.
