8045 4wd cable

Hi all just need to confirm that when installing a new 4wd cable that the end that goes into the 4wd box gets braised onto the new cable?

It isn't braised on. Its threaded on. It is usually recommended that you use the original bit, spool I think its called. IE the bit inside the tractor thats screwed onto the end of the cable , as its matched to the unit, There is a little ball inside. Make sure you don't loose that. It wont work without it.
