Hi, I just bought an 8045 crystal, hydraulics not working. Lever on left adrift, not near H and O. Removed plate, shaft that lever actuated is sprung out, is this the naturally engaged position for hydraulics? Does this work the power steering also? Someone mentioned a broken key for the pump drive, can this be checked without splitting the tractor?
steering is a seperate systen to everything else
theres a small oil tank on the rhs of the engine , check theres oil in it.
the hi lo gears mentioned in the previous post is the torque amplifier lever under the steering wheel ... its a hydraulically actuated epicyclic ... run off the main hydraulic pump as is the pto cluch pack on the back end.

Sprung out is engaged so you can run hyd pump without lever plate in place . PTO and hi lo have seperate pump not main hyd pump . Slacken pipe from main pump ( running ) let oil flow to bleed air out .it may work .good luck
