Hi! Moved from the city to the country side. With the farm I got a Zetor 8045 from 1983, no I managed to ran out of fuel. Do I just refill and start or do I have to let some air out of the fuel system, and if so, how do I do that? Thanks for help, Lenny
There is a nut between the two fuel filters, open it and pump with the hand pump untill the fuel leaking from the bleed screw doesn't squeeze air anymore.
After you have put more diesel in and bled it as suggested, you may still have a problem. Any dirt at the bottom of the tank may have got sucked into the filters and clogged them. Start at the glass bowl filter.
Also the quality of the rubber in the original fuel lines was poor which sometimes causes these to cavitate. It is worth the small investment to replace these with Gates or similar quaility fuel lines.
