Ive just lifted the hydraulic cover on my 8145 because the 3PL would not raise. (Already replaced external assister ram seals.) The main 3PL hydraulic lift piston (internal) is stuck at the top of its cylinder which suggests no oil was getting to it? Any ideas where the problem is likely to be? I'm assuming the hydraulic pump is ok because front end loader works fine. Any assistance much appreciated.

It may seem obvious, but have you checked that the valve linkage is moving when you move the lever, it has been known for the rod inside the lever case to come detached.

Thanks the linkages were ok. What I did find was 1) the inside circuit slide valve was stuck (in the 3PL lower position) and 2) the main relief valve was loose. I've free'd up the slide valve and it seems to be working ok now when I move the inside circuit lever. I've tightened the relief valve. If this doesn't work I guess I'll have to start replacing seals? Regards Dave

Check the presssure on the external services tappings if you havn't already done so, when you first use it. should be 2000 psi.
be careful not to increase this , pump seals don't like it !

I put it all together again and the outside ciruit and FEL are still working fine but no oil is coming from the 3PL (internal ram) feed. Could this be anything other than the internal distributor inside ciruit main slide valve?

Does anyone know who I could send the hydraulic distributor to in Australia to overhaul?

Its all good now. Thanks so much for your help . I progressively loosen the banjo's from the feed end of the inside circuit and bled the oil through to the 3PL internal cylinder. Then the 3PL went up but wouldn't come down!! Then I screwed the control (RH front corner) knob to get the 3PL to respond down.

This is a great forum.
