86 Z5211 lift problems

I have a 86 Zetor Z 5211. I can't for the life of me figure out why the lift works until the pto is engaged. As soon as it's engaged, the lift stops working. Can anyone help me out

You probably use the wrong gear setting. The lever fully down is oil pump only, one notch up is oil pump and pto, if i recall right. See the video in the sticky topic on top of the forum list.

That's for a 5711 not 5211

the oily lumpy bits are the same , the later tractors have just got different tinwork and levers.

whatever shape it is the pto lever still has the same range of functions cos its conected to the same mechanicals
