So I have just finished rebuilding, doing a light resttoration on my 8011 zetor I had the thing split into so many pieces to do internal seals etc so the problem is I have just finished gettin it all back together and looking pretty dam good running etc when I noticed trans oil dripping out of the bell housing, I know its the seal inside the gearbox that is leaking its just a small weap but ita running out through my new clutch plate its one seal I didnt replace cause it was replaced only 2000 hours ago but has been sitting dry for probally well over 12 months due to other bad seals.

So im wondering has the seal become hard from being dry for so long and if so will it take back up on its own terms or would adding this trans stop leak additive hurt anything or even stop this small leak?

I dont really want to spend any more time pulling this thing down again for a 3rd time for a small leak if you know what I mean

Also on another question due to the sitting for awhile and resteration, I tried to get the air compressor on the side of the engine block working , I cleaned it up and everything and stuck new belts on it, the pully was turning when I started the engine then upon trying to engauge the compressor locked up and stoped the pulley moving I have had to remove the belts.

Whats locked up? Do I have to pull it apart?

yes i think Bar's has some rubber seal rejuvenator you can put into the transmission. Not everybody stores it, but classic car shops probably stock it.
